In 1958, Bishop John Mary Ogez of Mbarara Diocese re-invited The Grail to work in the diocese. The Grail was asked to help first and foremost in the medical field to relieve the immense health problems by running a dispensary and in the social field to promote the advancement of women in the Mbarara Diocese. In 1999, Nakasojjo Integrated Health unit was initiated. It is now a Health Centre III providing both Medical and Public Health for the people of Nakasojjo and beyond.
Nakasojjo Health Centre is a Private Not-for-profit (PNFP) health facility under the umbrella of Uganda catholic medical bureau (UCMB), owned by Grail Sisters in conjunction with the registered trustees of Masaka Diocese, supported by Masaka Diocesan Health office (DHO).

Uganda Catholic Management and Training Institute formerly Uganda Catholic Social Training Center was established in 1969 by the Uganda Episcopal Conference as National Social Training Institute and the Late Pope Paul VI blessed the Institute with the joyful unveiling of its plaque. It is Located on Rubaga Hill opposite the Rubaga Hospital, Uganda Catholic Management and Training Institute was founded by the Grail Community, an international movement of lay – women committed to offering services through various professions in spirit of the Gospel. The Institution was then put under the ownership of the Uganda Episcopal Conference.
From its inception, UCMTI mainly concentrats on a multiplicity of development oriented training programmes with particular emphasis on the youth and women.
Uganda Catholic Management and Training Institute was registered as an NGO with the Ministry of Culture and Community Development in 1970 and in 1990, it was registered under the Education Act as an approved Private Institute of Commercial and Management Development courses.

The community of Ggulama was in terrible situation with orphans whose parents had died from HIV/AIDS pandemic between 1980s and 1990s and the continuing dropout of girls from schools. The late Zzimwanguyizza Boniface the father of Sr. Elizabeth Namaganda, offered a place at his home where girls could be helped to acquire some skills in home economics and agriculture in 1985. The community members zealously participated in fundraising and they put some shelters in the land Late Zimwanguyizza offered which opened officially in 1989. Later they bought land for expansion with the external assistance of MIREMBE FOUNDATION in the Netherlands and other friends from abroad.
St. Elizabeth Vocational Secondary School in Ggulama exists to provide quality education and vocational training to students, equipping them with practical skills and knowledge necessary for the workforce.
The school aims to empower youth, promote self-sufficiency, and address local economic needs by focusing on skill development in various trades. By doing so, it supports both individual growth and community development, helping students to secure better job opportunities and contribute positively to society.
